my- my baby
Interesting considering there is a debate in the analysis community as to whether or not Flutters actually liked Discord or was just a manipulative bitch.
Is there really a debate about that? Ugh.
That really bugs me. You could say “Well maybe this character was lying and doesn’t really feel that way” about literally anything. Even when there is no evidence that they’re lying. It’s not analysis, it’s just making stuff up.
If the debate sprung from this picture then let me tell you people a thing;
That is NOT the Fluttershy that has befriended discord. That is not the Fluttershy that met the creature, got to know him, befriended him and apparently writes letters to. To THIS Fluttershy that plushie is not an image of her friend, but a strange monster that she has no attachment to. Twilight probably thought ‘Fluttershy is friends with the guy, I bet she’ll like this!’ Without realizing that this fluttershy has no idea who discord is. To my knowledge at least.
We’ll see what actually happens in the movie, but as far as these images go? They do not contribute anything to Fluttershy’s character as that is not the pony Fluttershy.
That’s how I see it anyway. Take is as you will.
you can say anything you damn well please without evidence and thats not analysis
evidence makes analysis
I’d say the fact that those are two Fluttershy’s from two separate universes with two very different sets of life experiences is fairly good evidence in it’s own right.
I have to side with Mage on this one, as I think she has the best grasp on the situation from anyone else I’ve seen comment on the pictures, but nothing is concrete until we get the context.
Still, I don’t think you can really say the actions of one universe’s character can affect the personality of another’s.
Remember her first reaction to Discord?
It was almost the same.
